Nothing to launch its first real flagship phone on July 1

1 Mins read

The Nothing Phone (3) is going to be revealed on July 1.

This will be the company’s third phone in its main lineup and is alleged to be its first real flagship device.

While the definition of flagship is pretty liquid when it comes to phone companies, in this case, it means that Nothing is aiming to make a phone that will likely be around $1,000 and will be built with premium materials and minimal compromises.

If you visit Nothing’s website, you can sign up for updates. Nothing usually drip-feeds product information during the lead-up to its launch, so I’d expect to see lots of teases over the next few weeks.

So far, CEO Carl Pei has said the phone will be ~£800 in the U.K., which is roughly C$1,200. The company also stated that it might be moving away from the glyph lights that made it iconic a few years ago.

It’s also not yet clear if this phone will be available in Canada. Previous mainline Nothing handsets have come to Canada, like the Nothing Phone (2). However, the company’s lower-cost A-series phones aren’t available in Canada, and neither are the latest devices from Nothing’s offshoot budget brand, CMF. Of course, with Canadians reportedly preferring premium devices, maybe it’s a smart play from Nothing to keep its budget options out of Canada.

The reveal event will be at 1:00 p.m. ET on July 1, and you can watch it on YouTube.
